Tetraethylgermanium is a compound used as a precursor for germanium dioxide chemical vapor deposition in the microelectronics industry, useful in the manufacturing of semiconductor films. Also, utilized in solar panel applications and for increasing the life of battery storage TEG is also utilized in infrared optical devices, telephone lines and computer cables.
