Humic Acid (1415-93-6) is the organic substances that coagulate when the strong-base extract is acidified while fulvic acids are the organic substances that remain soluble when the strong-base extract is acidified. Mainly found in soil and water, Humic Acid is a heterogeneous macromolecule. Used as a soil supplement in agriculture, it is used to increase the growth and cultivation of crops, turf, citrus, and flowers. It is also used to increase the strength of soils that are organically deficient. Also known as humus acid, Humic Acid is a complex mixture of natural organic polymer compounds. Dark Brown crystalline powder, soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol, soluble in hot concentrated nitric acid. Humic acid can be used as emulsification and dispersion agents. Humic acid is an excellent chelating agent, important in the exchange of cations in soil. It exists in soil humics and lean coal, which is formed by partial decomposition of plant residues in the presence of air and water. Thus, it can be extracted from lignite, peat, or some soil and used as soil modifier, plant growth stimulant, fertilizer, insecticide, medicine, herbicide, mud stabilizer for oil drilling, ion exchanger and battery plate, etc. |
